Elena Guerrero Townsend

Elena Guerrero Townsend resides in Brighton, CO. She is the author of Latina poems and short stories. She is published in the Brighton Writers Group Anthology titled, “Gardens and Jungles.” You can find the book on Amazon. In 2023 she received the Master of Literary Arts from Brighton Excellence in Arts Awards. She earned an associate degree from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, CO., and then a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. She belongs to the DEI Council, BCAC, CHAC, CALMA, and Brighton Writers Group. She is currently working on a chapbook called, “Little Adobe House.” She collects Chicano/a art. You can find her reading her poetry around the greater Denver and Greeley area. She is a retired locomotive engineer who loves to write, quilt, and paint!
