Carmelita Jaramillo

Carmelita Jaramillo is a lifelong poet with a passion for science, yoga, and rollerblading. She was born in Santa Fe, but grew up in southern New Mexico. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.S. in Biology. She currently teaches a signature style of yoga nidra in addition to writing poetry and working in the solar energy field. She is the author of two books of poetry, “100 Days of Haiku” and “Cosmic Soul” in addition to having several publications in the Tanka Society of America biannual publication “Ribbons.”
