As an Ecuadorian American and an Army veteran, I straddle many borders and owe allegiance to a continental bookshelf of narrative masters.  An MFA from UC Riverside complements a lifetime of work in higher education in the field of multicultural education. I’ve published short fiction in Norton Sudden Fiction Latino, Chicken Soup for the Latino Soul, Latino Boom, Urban Latino Magazine, and Bilingual Review.
My YA (middle grade) novel, In the Company of Wolves, was published by Arte Público Press in September 2025.
