Maria Velvet
Maria Velvet is a young, Latina author, who resides in Colorado with her significant other and their pets. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree, in 2020, majoring in Psychology. She is a mental health awareness advocate and has always enjoyed writing since a child. Maria is a domestic violence survivor since 2016 and used writing as her main outlet to cope with the trauma she endured. Stemming from her own experience, she wrote Flirting with Death in 2020, to cover topics of abuse, toxic relationships, love, and mental health issues such as depression and PTSD. Maria is currently self-published. Today, she is a successful Human Resources professional and enjoys helping others daily. Maria is happy and healthy but wishes to spread awareness about domestic violence and mental health, through her work.
