Jose Aguayo

José Aguayo is the author of Caciques y Conquistadores: A Novel/Memoir and The Color of Duty: Stories of Latinos in the American Military, an International Book Awards winner. Aguayo holds an A.A. Degree in Advertising Design; a B.A. Degree in Cultural Anthropology; and an M.A. Degree in Cultural Anthropology and Museum Studies. He is founder and Executive Director Emeritus of the Museo de Las Americas in Denver, Colorado. Aguayo has served on many professional, community and veteran organizations Boards of Directors. He lives in Denver, Colorado where he writes about military and Latino history.
